A new website for the College of Business and Public Administration was rolled out last week. University Communications refreshed the website in partnership with ITS and CBPA to align with Drake’s new brand platform. Look for new websites for the remaining colleges and schools to launch next semester.

A limited number of free student tickets are available for the Hy-Vee Classic on Saturday, Dec. 16, at Wells Fargo Arena. This college basketball event brings together the four Division I men’s basketball programs in the State of Iowa. The Drake men’s basketball team will take on the University of Iowa at 1 p.m. followed by the Iowa State–Northern Iowa game at 3:30 p.m. Students may claim one free student-section ticket by visiting The Knapp Center Ticket Office and showing a valid Drake Card during regular business hours. Drake Wellness’ Bulldog Bootcamp program will run from Jan. 29 to March 9. This 6-week, student-only program is aimed to increase strength, build lean muscle, and improve overall fitness. Bulldog Bootcamp will challenge you to set goals and improve yourself in a fun and welcoming environment. Workouts will focus on bodyweight movements, compound sets, and using resistance bands to build functional strength. The class will also feature a Facebook support group where articles and information on fitness, nutrition, and motivation will be shared. Registration fills up fast. The Office of Community Engaged Learning is recruiting a Drake student to be a paid service-learning ambassador for the spring semester. The student will help design and lead an alternative spring break for students, while also performing outreach and service-learning education with international and other students on campus. Have extra flex dollars or food items you want to get rid of before leaving for break? Donate to Drake’s Free Little Pantries. Students in LEAD 060 and the Student Leadership Advisory Panel are hosting a food drive during the last two weeks of school. Donation boxes will be located in each residence hall until Dec. 8. Donation boxes will also be located in Olmsted and outside the C-store until Dec. 15. Non-perishable food and toiletry items are appreciated.

The Comparison Project is hosting an unplanned event on Wednesday, Dec. 6, at 7 p.m. in Sussman Theater. Reverend Heng Sure, the director of the Institute for World Religions at the Berkeley Buddhist Monastery, is in town visiting a local Buddhist temple, and therefore, able to speak at Drake. He will present “Buddhist Views on the Enlightenment.”

Become acquainted with 17 different religious communities of Des Moines and the Drake students who researched them on Friday, Dec. 8, from 4 to 6 p.m. in the Upper Olmsted Conference Room. Students from Professor Daria Trentini’s Anthropology of Religion course will share posters and pictures of their research. These students, along with some members of their communities, will also speak about some of the most memorable experiences from their research. Light refreshments, including kosher/hallal food from Maccabees Deli, will be served.
