Beginning on March 8, students will be able to request waivers for pre-requisites, major restrictions, and other course restrictions through a new process created by the Office of the Registrar and ITS in collaboration with College and School staff.
Requests submitted through the form will be routed for review by College or School Dean’s Office staff and/or the course instructor. Once reviewed, students will receive an email notification of the decision.
If approved, students will be directed to register for the course in Self Service.
Students may start a request by accessing the form directly here or on the Office of the Registrar’s website here. For questions, please contact the Office of the Registrar at registrar@drake.edu.

If you are an undergraduate or pharmacy student intending to make any changes to your field-of-study and have those changes take effect before registration begins, file your changes via the change of record request no later than 4:30 p.m. on Monday, March 31. Requests submitted after this date may be delayed.
The change of record request can be found by navigating to myDrake, selecting Self-Service under commonly used apps, and clicking on the link for the change of record request under Student Records.

ITS staff will re-implement the new security measures on our campus wireless network the evening of Thursday, March 6. The first attempt, which was initiated on February 19, caused several issues and was subsequently rolled back. These changes will only affect Drake faculty and staff using personal devices to connect to eduroam.
What’s Changing?
Employees connecting with personal devices will have limited access to certain Drake services, including Banner Admin Pages. However, essential services like myDrake and Microsoft 365 apps will remain accessible and unaffected.
Why the Change?
This update will enhance our network security by ensuring only Drake-owned devices have full access.
Need Help?
If you experience issues on your personal devices after this change or connectivity issues on any other devices, submit a ticket though the ITS service portal or call the Support Center at 515-271-3001.
