ITS is preparing for a major upgrade to the servers hosting our campus applications. This upgrade will begin during our standard maintenance period on Thursday, Dec. 20. Due to the complexity of the work required, ITS will start the maintenance window at 6 p.m. on Dec. 20 and conclude it by 1 a.m. on Dec. 21.
During this maintenance period, myDrake, MyDUSIS, Banner 9, and all related applications will be inaccessible at times. As the maintenance window continues, these applications will return gradually.

A limited number of student tickets are available for the Hy-Vee Classic on Saturday, Dec. 15. The Drake Men’s Basketball team will play the Iowa State Cyclones at Wells Fargo Arena. Drake undergrad and graduate students may claim one free student-section ticket by visiting the Knapp Center Ticket Office and showing a valid Drake Card during regular business hours Monday–Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. This ticket will give you access to both games: Drake vs. Iowa State at 3:30 p.m. and UNI vs. Iowa at 6 p.m.

Come to the Innovation Studio in Meredith on Thursday, Dec. 6 from 5–8 p.m. or on Dead Day, Friday, Dec. 7 and design your own game piece. Help us carve a chess board using our wood carver, and design and 3D print your own game piece that you can keep. Pizza and drinks will also be available on Dead Day. The web-based Drake University Social Science Journal (DUSSJ) is accepting submissions for its Spring 2019 edition. Any current Drake undergraduate (or recent graduate) is eligible to submit a paper on a topic in the social sciences (political science, international relations, anthropology, sociology, economics, history, and social psychology). Submissions may be short analytic essays or longer research papers. Papers that feature thoughtful, original analysis, polished writing, and careful citation are especially welcome.
The deadline for submission is Friday, Feb. 15. No more than one submission per person will be considered. Submissions will be blind peer-reviewed by a student editorial board. When submitting a paper, please indicate if it is a research paper or short analytic essay. Also, please indicate the primary discipline and any secondary discipline(s).
