Applied Behavior Analysis Program open house

We would like to extend a warm invitation to join the Applied Behavior Analysis (ABA) Program for an Open House on Wednesday, Nov. 20, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. in Olin Hall, Room 211.

Meet with ABA faculty and learn more about the ABA Master’s and certificate programs at Drake University. Light snacks and drinks will be provided.

Apply to be a resident assistant

The Office of Residence Life is now accepting resident assistant applications for the 2020–2021 academic year. RA’s must be leaders, role models, and resources for their residents; however, just as important, they must be team players that work with and support other staff in their own hall as well as other halls on campus. Uganda: The place to be in May

The Uganda: Sustainable Development travel seminar will have another information session on Thursday, Nov. 21, at 5 p.m. in Meredith Hall, Room 229.  Come learn about the amazing experience you can have exploring a developing country in-depth. This course is a 6-credit Drake faculty-led trip that brings together Drake students with native Ugandans from our partner university, the Makerere University Business School (MUBS).Learn more and view the application.

International Bazaar

Stop by Olmsted Breezeway for interactive cultural table presentations, including international food samples, caligraphy, language activities and more! Hosted by the students of World Languages and Cultures and the Intensive English Program. Be sure to check out the International Photo Booth in the Pomerantz Conference Room.

U.S. Fulbright Program Information Session

Join Fulbright alumni Nina Lawrin & Nathan Jacobson for an information session regarding the U.S. Fulbright Program and its post-graduate opportunities for students. Nina Lawrin received a Fulbright Student Research Grant in the Arts to Namibia from 2015-16, and Nathan Jacobson received a Fulbright English Teaching Assistant Grant to Bulgaria from 2017-2019.

Let ITS know about your eduroam experience

About two months ago, ITS made the switch from the DUStudent wireless network to eduroam. How’s eduroam working for you? Are you having any wireless network coverage issues? Connection problems in your room? Or your classroom? Let us know.

Report any issues connecting to eduroam by submitting a Wireless Network Issue report in our service portal. By letting us know where you’re having issues and what device you’re using, our ITS staff can work on adjusting access points and other tweaks to improve the network.

And don’t forget as you travel over winter break or J-Term that you may be able to take eduroam with you and connect wirelessly at your destination.

Final grades due Dec. 18

Students, final grades for non-Law School courses are due Wednesday, Dec. 18, 2019. Final grades for the Law School are due Tuesday, Jan. 14, 2020.

Generally, final grades are available to view by the first calendar day following the day the grade was entered. You may view your final grades by clicking the “My Grades” link under the Student Records area in MyDrake.

SAB Relays logo design contest

SAB is looking for a student designer to create the logo that will be used to promote all of our Relays 2020 events. The Drake Relays are a huge Drake tradition and is one of the best times to be on campus. We’re looking for a logo that will capture school spirit and the excitement of Relays!

The winning designer will work alongside SAB to create a logo that will be used on posters, painted street, promotional giveaways, apparel, and more all around campus. Your work will be seen by thousands of students, alumni, and community members!

The application is due no later than Nov. 15 at 11:59 p.m. Information regarding Round 2 will be sent to the top three designers based on the submitted portfolio work by the end of the weekend.
