Sign up to join the Prevention Ambassador Team

Join Drake’s growing Prevention Ambassador Team. Training to become a Prevention Ambassador will be held March 25, April 1, and April 8 from 1–4 p.m. each day. Register.

Prevention Ambassadors are students across campus trained to facilitate conversations about bystander interventions, healthy relationships, and understanding the dynamics of sexual and dating violence. Prevention Ambassadors interact with first years during welcome week, mentor high school youth, put on events and programming with other student groups and plan the annual Bulldogs Against Sexual Assault event.

Working Worldwide info sessions

Do you have plans for after graduation? Interested in living and working abroad? Look no further than Working Worldwide, an opportunity for recent graduates to live and work in Kosovo for a year. Applications are now LIVE, and you can apply in Terra Dotta. Application deadline is April 1.

Additionally, please know the deadline to apply for a Global Learning Scholarship is today, Feb. 15. Scholarship applications can be found within your Terra Dotta application.

Be a student media leader

The Board of Student Communications is looking for next year’s media leaders. The BSC oversees Drake’s campus media: Drake Broadcasting System, Drake Magazine, Drake Political Review, DUiN, Periphery, and The Times-Delphic. Students interested in serving as editor-in-chief of a BSC publication or president of DBS must apply for their desired position by March 11. Be an advertising innovator

Help the Board of Student Communications rethink advertising across student media. The BSC will be hiring its first BSC ad director for the 2022–2023 academic year. This position will oversee the creation and execution of a plan to sell advertising across BSC publications that accept advertising. Students interested in the position must apply by March 11. Apply today: The Naumann Women’s Leadership Scholarship

Calling all undergraduate women in student leadership roles! You are invited to apply for the Deni Druehl Naumann Women’s Leadership Scholarship.

The scholarship was established by Deni Druehl (JO’78) and Michael Naumann in April 2014 to recognize undergraduate women at Drake University who inspire, have passion, and positively impact the lives of others around them. Applicants to this scholarship must exhibit a commitment to contribute their leadership skills and talents to Drake activities such as (but not limited to): the Adams Leadership Institute, the LEAD concentration, recognized campus student organizations, and/or University sponsored activities, e.g. Panhellenic Council, Residence Life, and/or Student Senate.

The selected scholarship recipient will be awarded $2,000 to be disbursed during the 2022–2023 academic year. The scholarship is not automatically renewed each year, but previous recipients are eligible to apply each year following their initial award.

To apply for the scholarship, please submit an application at the link below by March 1 at 11:59 p.m. Candidates will be notified of their selection status by April 1.

  3. How would this scholarship assist you in making a positive impact among other women in our Drake University campus community?
